Summary Before going to US (first as a Fulbright, then as a doctoral student) my research took place in Eastern Europe, especially at Central European University and Bucharest University. I have two other doctoral degrees from these universities.
Now I also have a PhD title in Philosophy (Ethics) from University of Texas at Austin. My thesis is about supererogation and its place within a larger ethical theory. I am working mainly in metaethics, attending to problems regarding the concept of supererogation (moral actions that go beyond duty, usually attributed to saints and heroes). But I also have an interest in the concept of normativity, medical ethics and aesthetics. |
